Match Day Protocols

EDUCATION

 

Ensure you understand the transmission patterns and symptoms of Covid-19 – see BNA guidelines (this enables you to understand WHY we are taking these precautions)                       

COVID SAFETY OFFICER

  • Each team / club is required to nominate ONE person who will be responsible for maintaining all protocols at each session

CONTACT TRACING

  • Every player, regardless of age, and person in attendance must register via the QR code

NUMBER

  • The minimum number required to play are permitted to attend the venue ie) 10 players per team in addition to 1 coach, 1 scorer, 1 covid safety officer 
  • Maximum 500 people per space
VACCINATION
  • No restrictions on vaccination status for participants and those facilitating community sport ie) coaches, umpires, scorers, supervisors, volunteer administrators
  • To access the pavilion you must be fully vaccination and able to show proof.

MASKS

  • Masks must be carried by anyone entering the venue at all times & must be worn indoors and outdoors when social distancing 1.5m cannot be maintained ie) queuing at kiosk or office
  • Masks must be worn at all times indoor.
  • Players & umpires do not need to wear masks when competing.

HYGIENE

  • Personal hygiene measures must be adhered to at all times
  • Stay home if you are unwell or are a close contact
  • Social distancing - maintain a distance of 1.5m apart when not competing
  • Avoid touching surfaces
  • Hand sanitise before & after the match

SPECTATORS:

 

  • Spectators are permitted
  • Spectators must abide by “gathering” restrictions (groups of < 30, 1.5m apart)

ENTRY/EXIT:

 

 

  • All participants must “get in, play their match, get out”
  • Parents are encouraged to drop off players as parking will be a significant issue.
  • A 10 minute break between each game will allow teams to exit before the next round.
  • Participants must not enter the court area any more than 10 minutes before their game & must exit immediately after their game.

WARM UP

  • Teams will need to warm up  away from the courts ie) on a surrounding oval.

SCORING 

  • Our new Live Scoring system was introduced 19/6/2021.
  • There will be no scoring in the Term 4 round robins

RAIN

  • Participants MUST adhere to the “gathering” rules of no more than 30 people, 1.5m apart.

EQUIPMENT

 

 

  • Groups must provide their own first aid kits including hand sanitiser and gloves
  • Teams must provide their own ball and bibs
  • Balls are to be washed with disinfectant (wipes / spray) after each session
  •  Limit changing of over the shoulder bibs & contact with face
  • Team bibs must be taken home and washed after each match
  • Goal post padding will be washed down (by staff) after each match
