The Boroondara Netball Association is affiliated with Netball Victoria and, as such, all registered members have access to the Netball Australia Risk Protection Program at https://www.howdengroup.com/au-en/netball-australia  providing:

  1. Personal Accident Cover
  2. Public & Products Liability 
  3. Club Management Liability (for incorporated clubs only)

To be affiliated with Netball Victoria and receive these benefits, ALL members must pay an annual fee = State Membership. All participants will self-register on-line.Netball Victoria will then email you a Membership Card. This card not only confirms your insurance cover, but also provides various discounts, benefits and access to Netball Victoria programs.

Netball Victoria Membership fees, 2024

  1. Senior (18 yrs & over / born 2006 and before)    : $86.00     
  2. Junior (17 yrs & under / born 2007 and after )    : $66.00
  3. Off the Court (committee, volunteers, administrators): $52

Netball Victoria membership is only payable once per year, regardless of which affiliated netball team / association you may play with during that year. 

Injury - making a claim

If you sustain an injury when participating in a Boroondara Netball Association activity you may lodge a claim under the Netball Risk Protection Program for Non-Medicare Medical claims and loss of income.  This includes injury occuring during training, matches and Boroondara Netball Association clinics and programs. The Netball Risk Protection Program is arranged by a company called Howden Insurance Brokers - Netball Australia's Risk protection Program

Certificate of Currency

A Certificate of Currency is often required by your local council, school or training venue to prove that your club has liability insurance.
